이정우 교수의 "진보의 새로운 조건들" 철학아카데미 싸이트로부터..

반복되는 자와 반복하는 자...
우리의 일상은 반복의 연속이며 그 반복은 시간의 매듭을 준다.
그리고 그 반복에서 발생되는 차이,...

더군다나 현재 한국에서 일어나고 있는 여러가지 사건들이 등장한다.
대운하, 이명박 정부, ... 등등등 재미있고 나로 하여금 많은 생각을 하게 만드는 글이다...



대학4학년때 서현선생님의 주최로 이정우님의 강연을 들은 적이 있다. 철학적이고 어려운 말들이었지만 분명 좋았던 기억이다.
그때 이후로 (가끔 한국에 들릴때 조차도)교보 혹은 그와 비슷한 서점에 가면 한번씩 사회철학코너에 들리면 이분꼐서 쓰신 책들을 슬쩍 들어보곤 했다. 속으로 분명 좋은 책일텐데, 과연 내가 읽을 수 있을까, 시간을 투자하고 노력할 자신이 있는가 되새겨보곤 다시 내려놓기 일수였다.  그러던 중 이 글을 발견 읽고서는 다시금 이분 책을 몇권 사들고 정독해보고 싶다는 욕망이 되살아난다.

그리고 내 자신이 얼마나 성장했는지 모르지만 점점 이 분의 글들이 잘 와닿는 느낌이랄까.. ㅋㅋ

The ultimate aim of all creative activity is a building! The decoration of buildings was once the noblest function of fine arts, and fine arts were indispensable to great architecture. Today they exist in complacent isolation, and can only be rescued by the conscious co-operation and collaboration of all craftsmen. Architects, painters, and sculptors must once again come to know and comprehend the composite character of a building, both as an entity and in terms of its various parts. Then their work will be filled with that true architectonic spirit which, as "salon art", it has lost.

Architects, painters, sculptors, we must all return to crafts! For there is no such thing as "professional art". There is no essential difference between the artist and the craftsman. The artist is an exalted craftsman. By the grace of Heaven and in rare moments of inspiration which transcend the will, art may unconsciously blossom from the labour of his hand, but a base in handicrafts is essential to every artist. It is there that the original source of creativity lies.

Let us therefore create a new guild of craftsmen without the class-distinctions that raise an arrogant barrier between craftsmen and artists! Let us desire, conceive, and create the new building of the future together. It will combine architecture, sculpture, and painting in a single form, and will one day rise towards the heavens from the hands of a million workers as the crystalline symbol of a new and coming faith.

5:45am : shea national Tennis court
6:00am ~ 7:40am : play tennis
8:30am : arrived office with coffee and egg-toast.

Fresh morning. However,,,,,, already tired =(

Physically, and mentally, I am getting tired.
Need some good motivation to make me more energetic..!!

maybe.. I need some alcohol.

가끔 무엇인가에 대해, 나도 모를 어떤 것에 대해 화날 때가 있다.
그럴때 쓰는 글들이 이렇다. 말도 안되고 시간이 지나면 나조차도 먼말인지도 잘 모르겠는 그런 쓰적거림.
그렇다고 지우기는 머하고 후후.. 그 잡념들 중에 하나가 바로 아랫 글일 것이다.

Miscellaneous thought 10,...
I believe that everyone can have similar idea and imagination. The only matter is "who has more passion to make it real and more efforts against lots of frustration." the most stupid in the world is that complaint about stolen his/her idea to someone. If youcan imagine, somebody else have a same dream at the same time. Getting more opportunity and improving your everything is the basic, basic, really fundamental thing. Don't,, never think you are the only dreamer!!

간만에 극장에 가서 영화를 봤다.
그전날 새벽까지 회사친구들과 술자리를 같이 했음과 동시에, 보러가는 영화가 그냥 가볍고 유머러스한 영화가 아님을 알고는
걱정이 앞섰더랬다. 그냥 두시간 잠과 싸움하면서 졸다깼다 할 것 같아서..

하지만 영화를 보는 내내 쉬우면서도 혼동스러운 말들, 자신 스스로에게, 그리고 타인의 질문에 의해 계속해서 질문을 받는 주인공의 모습에 아무런 연유/연관 없는 내 자신을 비교,자문해가면서 영화를 봤다.
솔직히 거의 끝 부분에 10초정도 아주 잠깐 졸긴 했지만서도... 그 부분은 지루한 스틸샷이었기에 별 지장이 없었다.
영화를 본지 이틀이 지난 오늘 집에 들어와 잠시 시간을 돌이켜보면서 상상도 해보고 무비트레일러를 다시 보니 머리속에 아른거리는 장면이 생각보다 무지하게 많다.
주인공의 콜렉티브한 성격, 한순간도 놓치지 않고 모든 것들은 자신이 연출하는 연극에 구현해내고,
연극을 위한 세트가 현실의 재현의 재연의 재연의 재연의 계속되는 연장, 극중인물의 재현의 재연이 다시 현실과 연결되면서 벌어지는 일들.

근래에 무엇때문인지 무거운 영화보다는 가벼운 영화(액션, 코메디, 에니메이션)을 제외하고는 영화를 보지 않았던거 같은데 간만에 이런 영화를 보니 학교다닐때 미나뤼와 동아등등과 함께 씨네큐브를 한달에 한번씩 가던 생각도 나고...
머 결론은 안나지만 잠시동안일지 오래동안 머리속에 남을지는 모르지만 충분한 여운을 남겨주는 영화였다.

그리다만 그림, 쓰다만 이야기가 쌓여간다...
괜찮은(?) 재료들을 옆에 모셔두고 내것으로 만들겠다며 시간을 낭비하다.
그러는 사이 재료들의 잠재력은 소진되기 일수이고,
다부진 각오로 만들어낸 결과눈 마음 한켠의 내키지 않아하는 무언가를 이겨내지 못하고 그만 그리다만 그림, 쓰다만 이야기로 분류되고 만다.

이런 모든것들은 나의 아주 안좋은 습관때문이려나? 모든 일에 부정적인 시각을 먼저 고려하는 아주 아주 좋지 않은 습관...

Last year, I worked for interior stuff for the Hotel in Abu Dhabi. From the Public area to the hotel room, there were tons of things to design.  It was good experience to do it. However, many design is not applying to the hotel because of  the economic issue.

This is one of the interior thing in the ballroom. All the movement was dictated by programmatic function, and inspired by Middle east asia attmosphere such as Hena, Dune in desert.

생각건데, 인간의 실체란 것은 아무리 나이를 먹어도 그다지 달라지지 않는 것 같다. 무엇인가의 계기로, '자 오늘부터 달라지자!' 하고 굳게 결심하지만, 그 무엇인가가 없어져버리면, 대부분의 사람들은 대부분의 경우 마치 형상기억합급처럼, 혹은 거북이가 뒷걸음질 쳐서 제 구멍으로 들어가 버리는 것처럼 엉거주춤 원래의 스타일로 돌아가 버린다.??결심따위는 어차피 인생의 에너지 낭비에 지나지 않는다.

새해 첫날 읽었다..
그래서 올해는 아무런 결심없이 시작했더랬지...
그런데 결심을 안하고 시작한게 조금 아쉬워하면서 5일이 지난후 정말정말 굳은 결심 하나를 만들었으나...

역시 인간의 실체는 어쩔수 없고 새해 첫날 가장 올바른 생각을  했던 것이었다.... ㅡㅜ

Before sleep, I oftenly try to watch some korean human documentary. It is about a person who have difficulties but overcome them, so become exemplary person to all the others.
Today,
A human documentary about "Keehyun" 
with 4 episodes...


In this, "keehyun" is A woman, who is blind, but 1000% better than Ahn, keehyun.
It is absolutely not compatible... TT

Whenever I wander the city with camera, I am always talking the picture of stairs, especially fire_emegerncy stair case. I cannot pass it without at least one peeking and shotting.
Somehow, stairs(architectural component??) give me a certain retrospection of what I studied or liked. But it seems meaningless obsession from the student... who need some object, able to have fun and make some bullshit.

It was really good trip. some story and more image will come soon.

this building will be done next june.

정말 시간 빨리 가는구나. 올해도 2달뿐이 남지 않았구나.
반대로 나이드는것은 점점 무뎌지는거 같구.
이러다가 깜짝 놀라겠다.
미국에 있어서 그런 것인지 내가 몇살인지 헷갈릴때가 많다.
흠...
